A little bit of history to start with

This commercial tradition dates back to the Middle Ages. At that time, the inhabitants of the countryside went to town on the Sunday before All Saints’ Day to buy warm clothes. This was an opportunity for them to prepare themselves for the winter temperatures, but also to proudly wear their new clothes on the Day of the Dead at the cemetery.

Today, if the tradition continues, it is above all the promotions and offers proposed by the brands on their autumn/winter collections that attract the crowds.

Kirchberg shopping center

The Kirchberg shopping centre is celebrating its 25th anniversary and to celebrate, they are offering a wide range of promotions. The Mantelsonndeg is just the icing on the cake, to close this anniversary week full of discounts.

This Sunday 24 October, you can take advantage of promotions on the Iphone 12 pro and 12 Pro Max at Lineheart . In the Gerard Darel shop you can take advantage of promotions of up to 60% off on a selection of coats. And on the food side, some restaurants and cafés will also offer you food at very attractive prices. So you can have a great day out without breaking the bank.

On the occasion of Mantelsonndeg, City Concorde is offering not one, but three days of special offers in all the shops and restaurants in the centre from 22 to 24 October.

On Sunday, the shops will be open from 10am until 6pm! On the programme, free children’s menus in several restaurants, a creative workshop and above all an “Early Shop & Win”: from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm, you will be able to get back up to 100% of the amount of your sales receipt, gifts and other surprises.

La belle étoile

At La Belle Etoile, the Mantelsonndeg is in the spotlight for 3 days!

From Friday 22 to Sunday 24 October, all the shops in the gallery will be offering special deals. Here are some of them: 20% off the entire collection at Sacha, The Corners, Mise au Green, More & More, Jack & Jones, Marc O’Polo and Cassis Paprika. At America Today, Freelander’s, Jack Wolfskin or Only, you will receive 20% off jackets and coats.

Some gifts will also be offered like at Orange, where you will receive free Airpods 2, with the Iphone 13.

In the restaurant sector, you will receive a 10% discount at Cocottes, a 15% discount on macaroons at Namur, or a 6 euro menu at McDonald’s.

Cloche d’or

At the Cloche d’or, some shops will offer discounts of up to 60% on certain items such as … coats.

At the “coat wheel” you can try your luck at winning a €10, €50 or €500 gift card.

And last but not least, because it is a responsible offer, it is the recycling centre. Recycle your old coat at the Ressourcerie to benefit the association Aide aux Enfants Handicapés du Grand-Duché (AEHGD) and leave with a €10 gift card.
